Tom Hunt, Conservative MP for Ipswich

Tom Hunt was elected as the MP for Ipswich on 12 December 2019.

Tom says "I was deeply honoured to have been elected by the people of Ipswich on 12th December 2019. I made clear during the election campaign that I felt Ipswich deserved an MP who would spend 2020 energetically looking to address issues across Town. Not re running the Brexit referendum. The job now falls to me to do this. I will do my very best not to let anyone down."

Tom's thoughts from the campaign trail

Since the 1st of November I have spoken to over 8,000 individuals from all across the town. Many of these people have been life long traditional Labour Party voters and they feel they have been betrayed by the party they have supported for so long.

Congratulations to our new leader

The Ipswich Conservative Association congratulates Boris Johnson who has been announced as the new leader of the Conservative Party and therefore Prime Minister.
