Labour council shambles

Labour Councillors really do need to get a grip of their administration at Grafton House. In July we had a Council meeting called to approve a friendship agreement with Nettuno in Italy - a meeting that was completely unnecessary because the Council's Executive Committee which had met the week before had the power to approve the agreement.

But chaos continues. An Executive Committee was arranged for 23rd August with the date published in the Council's timetable some weeks ago. But the meeting could not be held because the Council was unable to give the statutory period of notice to summons the meeting because Committee papers had not been produced on time."This is sheer incompetence and certainly didn't happen when the Conservatives led the Council" said Cllr John Carnall the Leader of the Conservative Group on the Borough Council adding that "Labour really does need to get a grip on running the Council."
