Eddy was elected to Ipswich Borough Council in May 2014 re-elected most recently in May 2022.

Eddy says, "I continue to help residents with various issues across the ward. Please feel free to contact me. As Group Deputy Leader and as shadow portfolio holder for finance, I support Ian Fisher in leading our group, and scrutinizing what the Labour adminstration are up to."

He is also the Association Election Agent, overseeing the legal side of association electoral business.
