Tim Buttle and Stephen Ion
You have TWO votes in St John's Ward -please use BOTH for your Conservative Candidates.
TIM BUTTLE
Tim moved to Ipswich nearly 30 years ago to study at the university. Since graduating Tim has worked in the private, public and charity sectors across Suffolk giving him a wide array of skills and experience.
He’s passionate about making Ipswich a better place and would be honoured to represent the St John’s ward at the Council.
Tim’s priorities for St John’s
- Derby Road Station – pushing for a more regular service to Ipswich from Derby Road.
- New Estates in Celestion Drive and Ribbans Park – Developers must be held to their obligations in developing and maintaining facilities on new estates.
- Parking – dangerous or inconsiderate parking causes many issues in the area. I will work with residents to find workable solutions.
STEPHEN ION
Stephen lives in North Ipswich and was previously a Councillor in Rushmere for 8 years. So he knows the area and the issues that people face.
Stephen says: “Currently all your local Councillors are Labour so there is no one to stand up for you if you oppose anything the Labour run Council wants to do. During my time as a Councillor I always strove to stand up for local residents, rather than the council. I will do so again if elected.”
Stephen’s priorities for St John’s
- Focus on road and traffic issues, particularly parking and speeding.
- Pushing for lower council tax levels rather than the maximum increases every year that we get under Labour.
- I will always be there to support residents with case work and help them in any way I can.
