Anglesea Road 20MPH Zone

Chris Chambers, Conservative Councillor for St Margaret's-Westgate has confirmed to residents of Anglesea Road and the surrounding roads that  the proposed 20 MPH Zone has been signed off by the Suffolk Highways department.

Ashdown Way Re-Surfaced - As Pledged

During his election campaign, Bixley Cllr Eddy Phillips, pledged that Ashdown Way would be re-surfaced as part of the overall Felixstowe Road improvement scheme, and now it has been finished.

More NHS funding announced in its 70th Anniversary Year

We welcome the Prime Minister’s announcement of an additional £20.5 billion a year for the NHS.

Theresa May outlined the development of a 10-year plan for the future of the health service, which will see the NHS budget increase by £20.5 billion in real terms by 2023-24, or £394m per week. This is a 3.4% average annual increase compared to Mr Corbyn’s plan to only give 2.2%.

Car Parking, how much?

Labour controlled Ipswich Borough Council announced last week an 8.3% increase in short-stay car parking charges across the town. This is in addition to the massive rise last year. Since 2017 Labour have increased the charges by a mouth-watering 30%, over 7 times the rate of inflation.
