We back the Deportation Bill

Ipswich Conservatives welcome the fact that Conservative MPs in Parliament have published the Deportation Bill, to finally fix our broken immigration system.

If enacted our Bill would mean:

  • Anyone who enters the country illegally would be deported automatically. No ifs, no buts.
  • Foreign nationals who commit a crime will be deported. No more loopholes, no more excuses.
  • The Human Rights Act would be disapplied from all immigration-related matters. Preventing foreign nationals from using spurious human rights claims to avoid deportation.
  • The Government would have the power to deny indefinite leave to immigrants who've become a burden to this country.
  • There would be a binding annual vote in Parliament to cap migration levels. So there is direct democratic accountability for immigration levels, which we plan to radically cut.

Since we published it, thousands of members have shown their support for our plan by signing our petition.
