A UNITED FRONT OPPOSING OLD LABOUR IN IPSWICH

As the new Chairman of Ipswich Conservative Association, Judy Terry will be writing a monthly article for our website, updating all our members, activists, the media and, of course, the Ipswich Labour party, which seems to take an unhealthy interest in manufacturing gossip about us!

NHS

What’s this about? The Conservatives believe in the NHS and its core principles – that treatment should be free when you need it, regardless of your ability to pay. That’s why the coalition government is committed to increasing health spending, despite the current financial pressures it faces. But, with an ageing population and rising costs of drugs and treatments, the NHS needs to be modernised if it is to be protected for future generations.

Appeals submission to the Planning Inspector

Rushmere Ward Councillor, Judy Terry, thought that residents may be interested in reading her Appeals submission to the Inspector, against a telecoms mast located adjacent to Rushmere Hall Primary School's playground. Judy has worked tirelessly with the school to oppose two applications, helping with the 500-strong petition, and advising the Head Teacher and Governors on how to respond. Both were refused by the council, but the applicant has chosen to appeal against the second decision. Judy hopes to meet with the Inspector when he visits the site to view the evidence, and will keep residents informed of the outcome.
